Politics of War

This past Sunday, Dateline NBC aired a story about the body armor our troops are using. It focused on another type of armor called Dragonskin. The Army said that the dragonskin armor failed test "miserably". The problem is that these tests were not monitored by anyone, not even the defense department officials who had been evaluating the armor for years. I wish I had the entire spot on video for you to see, but this article from MSNBC gives alot of the information. If it doesn't bother you that these generals are more concerned with securing a cushy board room job with a defense contractor after retirement than properly protecting the soldiers under their command, then you don't deserve to enjoy Memorial Day weekend, because you don't get it.

Dragonskin vs. Interceptor
