Why do these guys have to Eff up a good thing.

I came across this article about a hairbrained attempt to bring on the genocide. Here's an excerpt:

WASHINGTON – Two white supremacists allegedly plotted to go on a national killing spree, shooting and decapitating black people and ultimately targeting Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, federal authorities said Monday.

In all, the two men whom officials describe as neo-Nazi skinheads planned to kill 88 people — 14 by beheading, according to documents unsealed in U.S. District Court in Jackson, Tenn. The numbers 88 and 14 are symbolic in the white supremacist community.

The whole story (link) is disturbing enough, but the business in the highlighted sentence is particularly distressing to my Nascar world. The idea that a bunch of racist honkys (Nascar demographic much?) can co opt the car numbers of two of the members of STR8 Arrow Racing is abominable!!! If you are lost right now, here's the key <>-''' GET3 and I have our own imaginary race team consiting of Dale Jr, Tony Stewart, Kevin Harvick and Carl Edwards. Their car numbers are 88, 20, 29, and 99. Next year Tony's number will be 14. So now a small sect of haters will rejoice when they see me wearing the number 88 on a hat or shirt.

There are many things that I like to be blissfully ignorant of. I do not know how to split an atom. I cannot get a three tier cake to stay level. How do they get 15% shrink but yet maintain the impact resistance in the new nylon 6,6 used in auto parts. My point is this: There is so much stuff out in our world you cannot know it all. I refuse to let this be attached to a NASCAR number. 88 and 14 are numbers on a car that's it. Do you think M. Irvin, of the Cowboys, thought it was anything else but a number. I won't let some narrow minded jacknuts change that for me either. Anyone can take anything and make it be everything if you let them. I will not let them......
